Options
    The optional leveling bar levels bed tops for a more even finish (above). Final results will
depend on soil conditions. Adjust bar to set bed height. Use on any model. Do not expect leveling bar to carry machine so use models with gauge wheels, if depth control is preferred.

    The optional leveling pan (above) is designed
to press and flatten the bed top and provide
depth control. No furrow shapers to form
furrows. Bed height will depend on cutting depth of disk blades. No gauge wheels are needed so this is usually installed on Model 2161 or 4161. 

    Different blade sizes can be installed for
wider furrows (above) or narrower furrows
(top).
Many applications
    This is versatile across a broad range of field conditions. Any farm with raised beds can benefit from a disk bedder.
    Disk bedders are functional if soil is tilled or untilled, wetter or dryer and they don't need a lot of HP to pull. Rough-in beds or, with preparation, form beds "good enough" to plant in. Simple design. Extremely rugged and durable. Low price.
    As shown in the photos, a 35 HP tractor forms beds in one pass. If using a smaller tractor and/or a higher bed is needed, go over it a second time. Machine weight can be added in harder soil, within reason.
    The large disk blades throw more soil and faster than plow-type designs. They're ideal for rocky fields. Expect no damage from rocks.
